FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This is a section for our most frequently asked questions. For any personal questions, head to our Contact page.

What is a colorization?

Colorizing is the act of giving color back to a black and white picture. No colorized picture in the world is 100% accurate, since it’s very difficult to find the original color of every single pixel. Instead, colorizations try to bring old pictures as close to our modern world as we can. The photos are restored, repaired, and scanned in such a way that they eventually look like they were taken today.

Is there any restriction concerning the antiquity of the pictures?

No, there isn't. Any picture can be colorized, from your great-great-great-great-great-grandfather's summer house, to your first Christmas. We’re even able to re-colorize old 70s and 80s photos, and bring them into the 21st century.

How much time will my picture take to colorize?

It depends on its difficulty and our availability. For example, a portrait can take up to one or two days, while the process for a big picture can last from four days to a week. Either way, you should have your picture delivered to you in less than a week. You can track the process at any time to see how far your picture has advanced, and we can send the current work for you to examine.

How can I pay?

You can pay via PayPal or wire transfer. You will receive an official guaranteed invoice ensuring you have paid for your pictures.

What programme do you use?

We currently use Adobe Photoshop CC, which helps us to achieve a perfect photo.

I live in Samoa, can I still use your services?

Absolutely. Since the entire process is completed online, you can send us your pictures from any corner of the planet.

Do you sell prints?

Yes, I do. Check my Redbubble if you're interested.

Can I commission a copyrighted picture?

If you’re not the holder of a picture's copyright, don't worry. Most pictures can be adapted if they’re only used for personal purposes (e.g. your home, your office, a Christmas present). Further than that, it's up to you... and the FBI.

I can't understand you. Do you speak my language?

We speak English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Catalan (and you can also ask for Latin and Ancient Greek). Just send us a message in your language and we’ll try to answer it as soon as possible.
